Harry Leat was a controversial and influential magic dealer and publisher. This was one of two books he printed and published by himself in 1924. In it, he explains a range of his own effects, mainly for the stage. He also includes an angry open letter aimed at a member of the Magic Circle who criticised his books. A brilliant snapshot of the age.
