First edition of one of the famous (or infamous) "Yellow Peril" series of books from C. Arthur Pearson. Full of great tricks and fascinating magic adverts from the time. You can read more about this series of books here. This is a particularly nice copy, once in the library of The Magicians' Club with embossed stamps indicating this and a nice Will Goildston label. 
 
Condition: Very good, small area of loss to top of spine, though much less than normal for these, accesion number written on spine and front endpaper, minor wear and marks throughout.
