Forty-two years after the publication of Modern Magic, which revolutionised the world of conjuring, Hoffmann was no longer on the cutting edge of developments in the performance art. Latest Magic was Hoffmann’s only book to centre entirely around his own magical inventions, rather than describing those of his contemporaries. Though it didn’t achieve the success of his previous works, Latest Magic allowed the reader to see the creative side of the author for the first time. With this final publication Professor Hoffmann completed the most influential series of conjuring books ever produced.
