This book qualifies for free UK 2nd class P&P.
This remarkable book explores the history of Maskelyne and Cooke's time at the Egyptian Hall in London. It is the essential reference for Maskelyne's early career and is a wealth of good information about British magic's most interesting period. Illustrated throughout with photographic plates and well indexed. Only 500 of these were printed.
An essential reference text for anyone interested in the history of British magic and an enjoyable read.
Condition: Very good, ex-library, but reserve stock so barely worn. Mark from label on spine of dust jacket, stickers, stamps and some marking to endpapers. End papers have been strengthened with archival tape (though I don't believe they have split), impressed stamp and accession number on reverse of title page, some marks to boards. One of the nicest copies of this book I've seen.
