This fascinating book tells the history of London's Bartholomew Fair. It is of particular interest to students of magic history as it describes many early magic and allied performances. It also includes beautiful engravings of many of these performers including Fawkes. This is the sought-after 1880 edition featuring a superb gilt reproduction of the Fawkes print on the front cover. 

 

Condition: Good, some marks and wear to boards and spine, with some very small tears to bookcloth at top and bottom of spine, corners of boards knocked with board breaking through bookcloth in some places, internal condition very good with occasional marks and foxing.
