This is the original 1961 Tannens first printing of the famous series of photographic lessons first published separately between 1946 and 1954. This incredible book features some of the finest magicians of the time explaining great close-up magic routines. It includes lessons from Dai Vernon, Slydini and John Scarne amongst others. Photographically illustrated throughout, it's an essential book for close-up workers. This original edition is of much higher quality than subsequent editions.
Condition: Fair. The boards are well marked and faded with wear to extremities. The endpapers are marked and wrinkled and the front inside cover has had a name and address written in using marker pen. The title page has split along the spine and is almost loose, all other pages are well bound in. General wear and marks throughout. A good usable copy of a rare first edition.
