Written under the pseudonym "Elbiquet", this is Branson's second book exploring conjuring methods and techniques. It is particularly important due to its sections detailing Indian conjuring including one of the earliest explanations of the Indian cups and balls. This is the rarer first edition variant with a printed title on the front cover and no frontispiece.

Condition: Good/fair. Some general light wear and a few marks. Some knocks to the top and bottom of spine and corners of boards. Inscription to front endpaper. Endpapers marked.
