Fantastic book on the secrets of the world-famous Harry Houdini. Full of illustrations and plates, a must for magic history fans and escapologists. This is the scarcer red hardback edition with a red cover and gilt lettering, not the beige ink-lettered version from the following year.
Condition: Good, boards and spine have wear and marks, some paper residue has adhered to the front and back covers, presumably from a dust jacket which has been water damaged, though further water damage is not evident on the book, some spotting and foxing to pages and endpapers, "With the Publishers Compliments" stamp on the title page where a mostly erased inscription is also present.
