Harry Leat was a controversial and influential magic dealer and publisher. This scarce book was written at the height of Leat's battle with The Magic Circle, hence the cover showing a skeleton beating a drum featuring the club's logo. Full of information about magic at the time, gossip and forthright opinions about his contemporaries and even a few magic tricks.
Condition: Fair, has been water damaged, with water staining to pages and covers, covers worn with some tears, some marking and wrinkling to pages, still a well-bound copy.
